Bengaluru chapter of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena on Wednesday took put a protest rally against the upcoming Bollywood movie " 'Padmavati.' The Karni Sena held a 'Swabhimaan Padyaatra', condemning the attempt to distort history in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie. The protest rally began at Town Hall around 10 am to culminate at Freedom Park and turn into a sit-in dharna, where leaders and elders from the community will address the gathering. Meanwhile, BJP MLA & head of Film Studio Setting & Allied Majdoor Union, Ram Kadam has threatened that if If Bhansali doesn't agree, our union won't let him shoot any film. Bhansali has been facing trouble since he started shooting for the movie. The set of the movie was vandalised twice and the director was roughed up by members of Karni Sena during the Jaipur schedule of the film earlier this year. Rajput groups and some BJP members have accused Bhansali of distorting facts in the movie, starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. The film is scheduled to be released on December 1.
